Equinox Gold is currently inviting applications for a Fleet Management System (FMS) Dispatch Supervisor to join our growing team as the company ramps up mine operations and production.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Mine Operations Superintendent, you will be responsible for contributing to the effective operation of the mine from a control room situation, providing tactical shift oversight and execution of the shift plan to improve overall production in a safe and efficient manner. As a FMS Dispatch Supervisor you will play a key role in working with the Mine Supervisory team in maintaining the steady flow, whilst looking to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of your mine production team.
This position is located at the Mine site, working on a 14 days in/14 days out rotation.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Assist in optimizing mining activities by providing operational coordination through the effective use of the FMS as part of the shift management team along with Mining, Drill & Blast and Maintenance Supervisors.
Coordinate and monitor equipment operator breaks and ensure equipment is refueled and that equipment is delivered for planned maintenance in accordance with shift plan.
Contribute to procedures and documentation for the safe and efficient operation of Dispatch.
Liaise with the crew, Dispatch Specialist and Mine Supervisors to ensure that the technology infrastructure, systems and main data references are maintained and working correctly.
Set and demonstrate a proactive approach to health, safety and environmental standards and ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
Engage with a crew full of diverse personalities to deliver monthly and daily plans with high levels of conformance.
Ensure that equipment stoppages and delays are recorded and provide coordination to ensure prompt action by the Mine and Maintenance Supervisors.
Support supervisors and operators utilize equipment resources to achieve the mine plan and production targets.

Ensure the equipment stoppages and delays are planned and coordinated to reduce impact on the production cycle.
Coordinate and monitor equipment operator breaks and ensure equipment is refueled, and equipment delivered for planned maintenance.
Be an active participant in the continuous improvement program.
Serve as a central communication personnel member for mine production and safety, including emergency events. Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent; or a significant amount of related experience in a similar role is required.
Prior experience on a surface dispatch team.
Previous experience with FMS such as MS4M (ideally) or Modular, Wenco or MineStar.
Valid Newfoundland & Labrador Mine Supervisor Certificate (or eligible to obtain) Skills and Knowledge:
Verbal comprehension (Understand oral and written communications-both general and technical).
Communication skills (provide clear instructions/directions).
Reasoning skills (problem solving and troubleshooting skills).
Ability to communicate clearly by radio, intercom and telephone.
Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple tasks.

Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shift work.
Complete annual training and pass safety operating rules examinations.
Must pass all required assessments.
Work sitting for long periods of time.
Work tracking train and track movement on multiple mediums in a fast-paced environment.
Work indoors in an office environment.
A valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract is required.
